  1. Be Grateful for What You Have.

Make a list of things you are grateful for and remind you of these every day. The constant stresses and challenges of fast paced lifestyles will not seem quite as bad when you think of all the good things you have in your life.

  1. Don’t Keep Making Assumptions

Assuming something, worrying about things that may never happen are all traits that make us human. Have a fear of not being liked or accepted for example leads us to assume that we know what others are thinking, most of the time being completely wrong. Don’t waste time worrying about doing something wrong either, or worry about your assumptions because they are mostly unfounded.

  1. Stop Using Absolutes on You and Others.

You might have said to your partner or child or friend “You’re ALWAYS late!” or complained to someone “You NEVER call me!”? Thinking and speaking using these absolutes like ‘always’ and ‘never’ makes the situation seem worse than it is, and what is worse can end up programming the persons brain to start delivering on these absolutes.

  1. Dump the Negative Thoughts.

Negative thinking will not hold any power over you if you dismiss negative thoughts immediately when the seeds are planted in your mind. When you notice yourself having a negative thought about something, detach from it right away. Don’t even try and analyze it either.

  1. Be In Charge of Your Thinking Patterns

Rule your thoughts and train your brain into a positive mindset about everything. Teach your subconscious mind doing thoughts, gratitude thoughts, well being thoughts, and happiness thoughts.

  1. Practice Touching and Loving.

Giving someone a hug is beneficial to both the hugger and the hugged.  It is proven that this positive physical contact with friends, family your loved ones, and even your pets, is an instant pick-me-up. Do it often and you will reap huge benefits in your life.

  1. Increase Your Social Connectivity

This is easy enough these days with social media websites and by increasing social activity with others interacting with them, you decrease your loneliness. Surround yourself and on social media add healthy, happy positive people, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way!

  1. Help Others When you Can.

Not only will good Karma follow you but everyone feels good after helping others even animals. You can volunteer your time to help others in multiple ways, with your money, or your resources that you are able to share. The more positive energy you put out into helping others in the world, the more you will receive in return from the universe.

  1. Don’t Dwell on The past.

If you find yourself dwelling on the past and what could have been stop that right there. Often the past is fraught with ifs and could have been and many of these are negative. It’s never productive to think on the past. Look positively towards the future instead.
